Surgical Versus Percutaneous Stenting Treatment of Isolated Aortic Coarctation: Long-Term Follow-Up

چکیده
Background: In recent decades, aortic stenting has become a promising alternative to surgery for both native coarctation and re-stenosis in children adults. However, comparative long-term outcomes have poorly been investigated. Methods: We included 212 patients with previous repair (19 ± 8.7 years) divided into 3 groups: 139 single-time surgical (CoA-S group); 18 percutaneous (CoA-PS 55 hybrid multiple procedures because of re-coarctation occurrence (CoA-H group). All underwent 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring trans-thoracic echocardiography. Results: After median follow-up 17 years after repair, antihypertensive therapy was recorded significantly higher proportion (83%) CoA-PS group compared 65% 46% CoA-H CoA-S groups, respectively (p = 0.002). Pulse values were the others < 0.001). Echocardiogram showed significant residual gradient 50% 73% 33% 0.0001). Indeed, associated incidence re-coartaction At multivariate regression Cox analysis adjusted age at need therapy, an independent predictor echocardiographic evidence ≤ Conclusion: Aortic independently during follow up when procedures. Furthermore, had lower control therapy.

Immediate and Short-term Follow-Up of Aortic Coarctation Balloon Angioplasty and Stenting
Background Aortic Coarcatation (CoA) is one of the congenital heart diseases with the rate of 5-8% of Coronary heart diseases(CHDs). Balloon angioplasty is now one of the effective way of treatment for CoA, native or Re-coarctation (Re-CoA). We aimed to assess the immediate, and short term response to angioplasty and stenting, and also complications. Materials and Methods Balloon angioplasty wi...

BACKGROUND Surgery for hypertrophied breast represents a challenge for plastic surgeons. The search for a good cosmetic breast has led to the development of many techniques. Objectives for reduction mammoplasty are to achieve elevated, symmetrical breasts, with round shape, good projection, small cicatrices that are not very perceptible, and a lasting result. METHODS This study was car...

This study was aimed at evaluating early and long-term follow-up results of surgical reconstruction of infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). A consecutive series of 392 patients who underwent elective abdominal aortic repair from 1974 to 2000 was reviewed retrospectively. The mean age was 69.8 years (range 34-90), with 329 males and 63 females. The hospital mortality rate was 3.8% (15/39...
